We believe in fairytales. We believe in love conquering all. And most of all, we believe that the honeymoon never has to end. Maybe we’ve read too many fairytales growing up or perhaps it’s the fact that we’ve watched the Notebook more times than we’ve been to the library (or is that just Coco?), but we believe that storybook romances are real. We wanted to take a lovers getaway so we headed down to the tropics of Jamaica to the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton to celebrate our happily ever after.
Located in between Montego Bay and Negril, The Grand Palladium Jamaica is set on acres of beautiful beachfront. The architecture was a blissful hybrid of Roman architecture and plantation style buildings. A favorite location for destination weddings and honeymooners, it was the perfect place for a romantic retreat.
Who It’s For:
- Destination Weddings
- Beach Babes
- All-Inclusive Lovers
We stayed at the Lady Hamilton section of The Grand Palladium Jamaica. The rooms at the Grand Palladium Jamaica do not disappoint! With giant king size beds, an oversized tub for two (wink, wink), a sitting area and an ocean-view balcony, it’s a wonder we ever left our hotel room! For those honeymooners and romantics, the bed is obviously very important when picking a destination. The king size bed at The Grand Palladium bed was the perfect place to “rest” our heads after a long day of fun in the sun!
The standard for service was set very high from the moment we arrived at Montego Bay airport. We were quickly escorted through the Club MoBay VIP immigration service, where representatives met us right off of the plane, ushering us right around the long immigration lines! After immigration, we were escorted to a VIP lounge where we were given Red Stripe beer (the national beer of Jamaica) while we waited for our driver to arrive. All of this can be arranged directly through Grand Palladium wedding package.
Once we arrived at the hotel, we were escorted to a private table for the bride & groom (a privilege for the bridal crowd). Yes, we’re already married, but we thought that The Grand Palladium would be the perfect place for us to celebrate our love with a romantic lovers getaway.
The Grand Palladium Jamaica is an all-inclusive resort, but it packs a wide variety of options when it comes to food. Whenever we travel, especially for romance, we want to have a gourmet experience. We were never stuck feeling like we were part of a generic meal plan. With a variety of options from Mexican restaurants to Hindu restaurants, Italian cuisine to homestyle Jamaican jerk cooking, the options for gourmet gastronomy were endless. Our personal favorite was a private dining experience, available to any guest that wants to surprise their significant other. This private dining experience was at the Beach Gazebo where we noshed on fresh Caribbean lobster with a blissful view of Sunset Cove.
The pool at Grand Palladium Jamaica is massive. It’s so massive that it is actually the largest pool in Jamaica! This ocean sized pool has plenty of spots swim, lay, or sit if you want to visit the bar. The swim-up bar in the center of the pool is a great place for any socialite. There’s nothing better than enjoying a fresh strawberry daiquiri on a hot Jamaican day while relaxing in the pool.
Grand Palladium has 4 beaches for you to choose from with one beach that’s adults only. Our favorite beach was Sunset Cove. The location for water sports, the Jerk Hut (mouthwatering jerk chicken and jerk pork), and the best spot to watch the sunset. With all the beaches to chose from there are plenty of places to hide if you don’t want to be disturbed during your romantic getaway.
As active travelers, we were constantly entertained during our time in Jamaica. From beach volleyball to sailing the Caribbean on a catamaran, working out at the state-of-the-art gym to indulging at the pool swim up bar, relaxing in the hydrotherapy pools at the spa to riding horses through the Caribbean Sea (yes, we swam with horses!), we were always enjoying our exploration of The Grand Palladium in Jamaica.
For the ultimate activity package, we highly recommend renting the catamaran for a day, swimming with horses (we’ve never belly laughed so hard), taking a day to enjoy the swim up bar, relaxing at the Zentropia spa at the resort, playing beach volleyball, and a day trip to Negril.
The Grand Palladium houses its own in-house idyllic spa, Zentropia. The spa has a hydrotherapy section that guests can use at any time, not just before or after using the spa. We indulged in a couples massage in a private room. With candles and flowers scattered everywhere, it set the tone for an utterly romantic evening.
If you really want to treat your sweetheart to honeymoon bliss, grab a glass of champagne and head over to the Zentropia Spa for an ultra romantic couples massage.
Thank you to the Grand Palladium Jamaica for hosting us as their guests. The thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely our own. #ad
